Notifications and pictures:

We will notify you when your reserved litter is born. Due dates are sometimes early or late by a few days. We may do a group photo while mom is on a potty break, but don’t typically do posed picturesthe first ten days. Our priority is making sure newborns are eating, staying warm and thriving.

We will do group boy, group girl pics roughly every 10 days after babies have settled in. Closer to that 6 week mark, we start individual pictures.

Pictures are not always easy. And quality photos are our goal. But sometimes babies are hungry, tired, etc. Between the puppies mood, and our allotted time for pictures, we may not capture every feature just right off the bat. By age 6 weeks, we typically have individual pictures, front, side views. Pictures are time consuming, we may take 30-50 pictures for every one you see posted.

How Selections are made:

Selections are madeintheorderdepositsare received.

Typically the selection process starts around week 6 (within a few days of the 6 week mark, due to schedules-it may not be the exact 6 week date) This gives timetoinsurepuppiesarethriving, personalities are emerging, etc.

We do pictures, videos, assist with personality descriptions, etc.

We notify everyone when the process starts, and you will be individually notified when it is specifically your turn.

We will post individual pictures on the litter tab on the website. We delete the pictures as selections are made. When it is your turn to select, you return to the litter tab link providedtoseewhostill available for you to choose.

VISITATIONS suspended currently. You may visit in person, but must abide by our visitation/disease control policy SUSPENDED until further notice. Because of Coronavirus, wearereallytryingtodoselections via video. Any in person visits will have to be done outside, weather permitting. Visits must be arranged before the selection process. You can not wait until it anddecide to schedule a visit when it has not been previously discussed. We also have a very, very strict parvo virus control policy.

COVID protocols in many aspects have taught us many things can be done virtually. By virtual visits, videos- we have learned this is a great time saver. For us that time can be used for the hands on care require to take care of your puppy-litter, their parents. We have learned by working smarter in this way, we have more time for our own pets, our livestock, and most importantly our family and self care.

By doing videos at selection, it allows many opportunities. Deposit holders all receive the same view. Deposit holders can watch, rewatch videos. Videos can be used future wise in the even that an opening does become available. We have started answering FAQs and giving out very important information during the video time. Info includes vaccine info, health info, flea and tick prevention, parasite control, training, etc. By doing a set of videos for selection, it allows us to not have to repeat FaceTime, in-home visits up to a dozen times per litter. Freeing our time to provide the hands on care needed to care for animals.

Please see FAQ page for general visitation policy.

We ask that when it is your turn, that you do so in a timely manner, courteous to those waiting behind you. With litter sizes sometimes around 10, you can see why turns need to be courteousandtimely. It is. It practical to take 24 hours or more to decide.

How to pay your balance:

We ask that balances be paid in full by age 6 weeks.

Multiple reasons for balances being due by age 6 weeks. The biggest is allowing for ample time for clearance of funds, daily/weekly sending and receiving limits by listed methods, fraud alerts, etc.

Personal checks are welcome, as long as they are received at least 14 days prior to delivery or pick up.
Zelle
Cash app
Walmart money gram (suspended during Covid-19)
Apple Pay
Google Pay (also 10 day clearance)
Wave invoicing accepts your debit or credit card.

Do not send funds with out verifying user names/emails first for listed method. They are not all the same.

If a method is not listed, then we do not accept it. Please do not assume we will.

We cannnot accept Venmo, we cannot accept PayPal for balances.

We cannot accept payment on out courtesy delivery day. Apps can have sending limits as mentioned, fraud alerts, or sit in cyberspace pending for 14 days and not clear.

We do not accept cash on our courtesy Texas delivery route. It is simply not safe to travel with cash. We meet in public to exchange, and often when you are sending cute puppies with new families you get onlookers. A cash exchange in public is not wise. On delivery day we are meeting with multiple families, handing out paperwork, goodie bags, your new family member. Collecting cash can be stressful on our end in these circumstances.

BREEDING RIGHTS are an additional fee, more info on FAQ page, or please ask. Not all litters have the same fee for breeding rights. Pet contract does have fine if broken.

Picking up/courtesy Tx route:

Arrangements are made for the 8 weekmark for pick up. If you are needing a different time frame to pick up, please discuss this in advance. We do have options for boarding. Boarding fees apply.

We will have a complimentary delivery/pick up route for our litters. Route is typically either NE Oklahoma-McKinney-Waco OR NE Oklahoma-OKC-Haslet/Denton- Waco. This route is coordinated with multiple families, and is a single route delivery day. It also has a strict time schedule.

We have a puppy nanny service outside of this date, and for families in other nearby states. Rate is per mile.

Ground shipping is available to most areas in the US, rate is $300. Shipping by air is available in the US and Puerto Rico to most areas for around $500 and up

Just some tips for going home:

On pickup/delivery day, bring a towel, wipes for travel just in case. We do not recommend stopping for potty breaks.

Be very careful where you take your puppy. Avoid high traffic areas. Your puppy is not immune from viruses until the shot series is complete and has had time to work. Your shoes can track in deadly viruses, keep them out of reach. Cleaning with bleach can kill some viruses.

Change can cause stomach sensitivity. If switching foods, do so gradually. Mix a little new in with the old until transition is complete. Introduce new kinds of treats slowly. It doesn’t hurt to have canned pure pumpkin on hand for loose stools due to stress & these changes.

We free feed. It’s ok to let your puppy do so for the first few months. Your puppyfood will have serving recommendations if you prefer not to free feed. Puppies drink a lot of water.

Crate-we prefer a large or medium one with a divider. If your puppy can get away from his/her mess, they will. Crate training can not be as successful if they can get away from their mess.

Be sure you are continuing a worming routine. If your puppy has not been prescribed a monthly heart and all around worm prevention, you need to be worming at least every 14 days with an over the counter wormer such as Panacur. Panacur is a multi day administrating wormer.

Your puppy is not immune from diseases/viruses such as parvo until all of your shot series has been completed and has time to settle in and work. We follow the 6, 9, 12, 15 week schedule. Public places, places where other dogs/potentially unvaccinated dogs have been (even the vets office), pet stores, puppy product isles in retail stores higher risk areas. Your shoes, your children’s shoes, company shoes that comes over-all risk factors. Please do your research about parvo prevention. Parvo can live in soil, be tracked in on shoes etc. Its never a good idea to sit your puppy down on any public surface or ground.

Puppies love stimulation, toys are fun!

I like the brush that looks like a rake, and the slicker blush.

Can we visit in person?

Guinn Family Farms visitation policy for all homes

CURRENTLY ALL VISITATION CEASED due to increas in Covid, and health of immediate family.

We are a family run business, and locations  are our homes. Random visits can be intrusive. And like a lot of you, we have families, children, busy schedules. Safety & keeping our homes/puppies protected from deadly viruses are a priority.

PREVIOUS VISITATION POLICY:

We do allow visitors, but only deposit holding families. We will not allow anyone who has visited shelters, other breeders in the last 30 days. If your unsure about a doodle or poodle and are in the shopping phase-please do not ask to visit, and be respectful of our decision to protect our puppies, and maintain peaceful home life. Our goal is to protect our property, and our puppies (and your future companions) from deadly viruses like parvo, and other contaminants.

Only consideration for nondeposit holding visitors would be if we happen to have a puppy over 8 weeks and ready to go.

We have security cameras, measures in place. Visitors must sign an affidavit agreeing they have not visited any stated facility in the past 30 days.

Visitors must step in bleach pans. Puppies can be observed up close. Visitors can put on gloves to touch/pet puppies, but puppies cannot be held. Parvo can be carried in on clothing etc.

Areas are sanitized with bleach prior to visitors coming, and when they leave.

Between our own family members we do a lot as far as socialization. We implement Early Neurological Socialization, Noise Desensitization, Puppy culture methods. We also do a lot daily precautions, such as changing public clothes before handling, having shoes only dedicated for puppy areas, stepping in and out of bleach before handling, cleaning, socializing, etc.

With Covid/Coronavirus we are limiting deposit holding visits to outside to help with social distancing. Weather & babies having that 1st vaccine will play a part in allowing visits to happen.

With current numbers increasing, and recent changes in the health of our immediate family-we are ceasing all visits.
